Fränk Schleck, a Luxembourgish professional road bicycle racer riding for Team Saxo Bank, started his career in 2001. His breakthrough came in 2005, when he achieved three podium places in the last month of the season. In the 2006 Tour de France, Frank culminated with a stage win atop l’Alpe d’Huez.     The 2009 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships concluded at the Home Depot Center velodrome on Sunday. Oakley athletes dominated the podium, especially Oakley’s Taylor Phinney who won three of the 10 titles earned.

    Boulder cyclist Taylor Phinney added to his list of national titles, winning the 30-kilometer points race at the USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships on Saturday.

    Oakley’s Cadel Evans of Australia got the biggest win of his career on Sunday, breaking free on the final climb to win the men’s race at cycling’s road world championships. The two-time Tour de France runner-up finished 6 hours, 56 minutes, 26 seconds on the 162.9-mile course.

    Oakley’s Edvald Boasson Hagen takes the Tour of Britain.

    Boasson Hagen (Columbia-HTC) crossed the line in 39th, opting not to contest the sprint after his four stage wins in succession, on stages three, four, five and six. The 22-year old Norwegian, wearing limited edition Oakley Radars, had no need to go for win number five since he rubber-stamped his superiority, and cemented the overall win, mid-way through the final stage, by winning the third bonus sprint ahead of Chris Sutton.
