Bio
Fränk Schleck, a Luxembourgish professional road bicycle racer riding for Team Saxo Bank, started his career in 2001. His breakthrough came in 2005, when he achieved three podium places in the last month of the season. In the 2006 Tour de France, Frank culminated with a stage win atop l’Alpe d’Huez. Two years later, at the 2008 Tour, he stepped up another notch, taking the yellow jersey on the 15th stage. Schleck eventually finished the race sixth overall. Along with his brother Andy, the Schlecks led Team CSC alongside Carlos Sastre and placed Sastre atop the podium in Paris. In 2009 Schleck won the queen stage of the Tour de France, finishing in the sole company of his brother Andy and Alberto Contador and placed 5th overall.
He is a true all-round who can win the biggest one-day races and hold his own in the Grand Tours. He enjoys hunting and fishing as hobbies
You can always distinguish Fränk Schleck from the pack. He rides a very high cadence, like Lance Armstrong, when climbing and with his jersey open to keep him cool. He’s also known for the way he keeps his knees in while pedaling.
