Craig Alexander is a professional triathlete with nearly a decade of racing experience. He is the current Ironman Triathlon World Champion and is a previous winner of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2006. Craig, who some call “Alexander the Great,” is based in Boulder Colorado in the USA for the spring and summer, then heads home to Cronulla for the Australian summer.     Oakley’s Julie Dibens breaks four hours to claim the world title in Clearwater. Oakley’s Magali Tisseyre takes third.

    Oakley’s Julie Dibens has dreamed about this win for years. “It’s the race that gets me out of bed in the morning,” she said, and today her 3:59:33 win made all those early mornings and hard training days completely worthwhile.

    “Those kind of thoughts went through my mind,” she said after the race. “I trained for this all year – I can even go back and say that I’ve trained for this for a few years.”

    After a grueling day out in the ocean, on the bike and your feet what better way to celebrate then a Rehab Party put on by Oakley. 1994 Ironman World Champion and Oakley’s Triathlete Sports Marketing Manager, Greg Welch had the brilliant idea of giving back to his athletes. The idea was turn the Oakley Safehouse on Alii Drive into an extravagant getaway of sorts for all the Oakley athletes that competed in the 2009 Ironman World Championships.
